Changelog

What's new

Product updates, new features, and improvements to the Enhanced Rentals platform.

Coming soon

General availability — open self-signup

Enhanced Rentals is opening for public self-signup at the end of April 2026. Any short-term rental operator can create a workspace, connect Hostaway, and start a free trial — no credit card required. Operators signing up via the Hostaway Marketplace receive 30 days instead of the standard 14.

New feature

STR Bundle — task coordination and owner portal

The STR Bundle tier launches with two additional modules: task coordination (cleaning and maintenance scheduling with photo-verified checklists and scoped access codes) and an owner portal (reservation visibility and monthly payout statements for property owners). All-in at €35/property/month.

Company

VC investment and new management board

Enhanced Rentals closes an undisclosed investment round with new partners on board, providing the capital to scale the platform and team. Sefa Ilkimen joins the management board as Co-CEO and CTO. Adrian Barwicki continues as CEO.

Milestone

Platform relaunch under Enhanced Rentals GmbH — Hostaway certification submitted

The platform is restructured and relaunched commercially under Enhanced Rentals GmbH. This marks the transition from a client-funded internal tool to a fully independent SaaS product — with dedicated infrastructure, self-serve Stripe billing, a public website, and a help center. The Hostaway Marketplace listing is submitted for certification review.

Stability

Battle-testing phase — 25,000 reservations processed

The platform enters an intensive stability phase with RENTUJEMY as the primary test operator. Over 25,000 reservations are processed end-to-end: webhook delivery, bot replies, voice escalations, and payout flows tested under real load. Critical edge cases identified and resolved before commercial launch.

Milestone

Closed commercial beta

The platform enters a closed beta with a limited group of invited STR operators. Subscription billing via Stripe is activated and trial periods are enforced.

New feature

Browser call joining and configurable bot identity

Two features ship in the final pre-beta push: team members can now join escalated guest calls from any browser without a phone, and the AI assistant name and company shown to guests are now configurable per workspace under Settings → General.

New feature

Call transcripts and reservation-aware replies

Full transcripts are stored for all AI-handled and escalated calls. In parallel, the AI assistant begins answering guest questions using live reservation data from Hostaway — check-in times, door codes, and house rules scoped to the guest's active booking.

New feature

AI voice hotline and second beta customer in Dubai

The AI Hotline launches with local Twilio phone numbers in Poland, UAE, United States, and Germany. Guests call a real local number and are greeted by the AI voice assistant. In parallel, a second STR operator based in Dubai, UAE joins the closed beta — bringing the platform's first international deployment and validating the multi-property setup across a new market.

New feature

Hostaway integration and Slack escalation notifications

The platform connects to Hostaway via Account ID and API Token — listings and reservations sync automatically via webhooks. Slack notifications are added for escalations: when the AI cannot handle a message or call, an alert with guest context and a case link is posted to the operator's channel.

Milestone

Development begins — Alphateam Hackers GmbH and RENTUJEMY

Alphateam Hackers GmbH begins building the Enhanced Rentals platform with RENTUJEMY Sp. z o.o. as the founding client — a short-term rental operator in Poland. RENTUJEMY uses the platform at no cost during development in exchange for real-world feedback and data. Initial scope: AI guest messaging, Hostaway integration, and the escalation pipeline.
